Take 1/4 Cup Flower

Instructions to make Broccoli Herb Mac & Cheese Bake:
Start by boiling water for pasta; - Add macaroni and return to boil for 7 minutes.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter on low/medium heat. When butter is melted stir in the flour to create a Roux. - Keep stirring butter/flower Roux to avoid burning. Cook on medium heat until the flower cooks and develops a nutty aroma.
Add the half & half to the Roux and continue to whisk until the liquid reaches a near boil. The sauce should have thickened up. Add most of the cheese to the sauce and stir until melted. (Reserve 1/2 cup of cheese for topping) - Add the Italian seasonings and garlic powder. Reduce heat to low.
Drain and rinse pasta with cold water. Transfer into mixing bowl.
Pour cheese sauce over macaroni and mix together well.
Finely chop the broccoli and add it to the macaroni and cheese, add the sour cream next, mixing well again. Pour the mixture into a casserole dish.
In a food processor, grind up the potato chips. Mix the chip crumbs with the remaining cheese and top the casserole.
Bake at 400° for 20 minutes
